Academics
Studies show that girls typically do better in school than boys. However, after fourth grade, girls' grades in math and science tend to drop compared to boys. While some people explain these changes are due to biological differences, others claim that society drives boys towards math and science and girls towards language arts and social sciences. Teaching characteristics and classroom environments may also have an impact on this difference. No matter the case, education is the key to success and girls must be given the same opportunities as boys to achieve this success.
