Leadership
A survey on stereotypes about girls showed that half of adults and one-third of girls believe that girls are not good leaders. Despite stereotypes, history shows that girls are amazing leaders whose contributions have often gone unnoticed. Girls face these stereotypes and other obstacles that make leading challenging. To fight against these societal barriers, it is important for girls to see the contributions that women have made in their communities and for mentors to engage girls in activities that hone in on their natural leadership abilities.
