LGBTQIA
LGBTQUIA is an acronym used to describe the various types of human sexuality identity.
o Lesbian: A female-identified person who is emotionally, physically and romantically attracted to another female o Gay: A male-identified person who is emotionally, physically and romantically attracted to another male o Bisexual: A person who is attracted romantically, physically and romantically attracted to both men and women. o Transgender: A person who identifies with a gender other than what is expected based on their sex. o Queer: An umbrella term that refers to anyone whose identity does not adhere to the heterosexual or cisgender majority. o Intersex: Someone whose physical sex characteristics are not exclusively male or female. o Asexual: A person who is not attract to anyone or who doesn’t have a sexual orientation. o Ally: A person who does not identify as LGBTQUIA, works to support the safety and rights of those who do. |
