Domesticity
|
Through their pretend play, girls are socialized into domesticity at a young age. Domesticity is a noun relating to home and family life. It manifest itself in girlhood through stereotypical gender roles enforced through socialization. Toy kitchens, baby-dolls, and Barbie are all examples of toys marketed specifically to girls.
