Tampons
Tampons and pads are used by girls to soak up menstrual blood after they have started their periods. Tampons work inside of the vagina and are made up of observant material pressed into a cylinder shape. Many tampons have applicators, either plastic or cardboard tubes to help for insertion. Deciding between pads and tampons is a personal choice with neither option being less effective. (http://kidshealth.org/kid/grow/girlstuff/pads_tampons.html)
