Pregnancy
Pregnancy begins when a fertilized egg implants in the uterus. The most common way that a woman becomes pregnant is through unprotected sex in which a man ejaculates sperm into the vagina. The sperm travels through the cervix, and into the uterus. If an egg is pregnant, the sperm may fertilize it. There are alternative methods of insemination as wells as vitro fertilization for women who may struggle to become pregnant. Once pregnant, women have options to consider: abortion, adoption, and pregnancy. If a woman chooses to continue with her pregnancy, she will go through many changes during a typically 9-month process in which a fetus grows and changes.
