Harassment
Girls for Gender Equality define sexual harassment as any unwanted behavior or attention of a sexual nature that may not interfere with a person’s ability to participate in or benefit from a school’s program’s or activities. Sexual harassment is not actually sex. People who harass others are acting out of aggression and hostility. Sexual harassment can include:
o Touching someone else’s breast, butt, or genitals o Touching your own breast, butt, or genitals in front of others o Sexual comments, jokes, rumors, etc. o Gestures or facial expressions such as winking or licking lips o Inappropriate staring at someone’s body o Sexual pictures o Demands for sexual activity o Physical intimidation o Cyberbullying (http://www.ggenyc.org/programs/education/what-is-sexual-harassment/) |
