Blogging
Blogging is a self-expression platform for adolescent girls, which often features an interactive community element. Blogs for girls can be imaginative and a place for critical discourse. Blogging publicizes the idea of girls’ writing, which previously had been considered within the context of privacy (journals, diaries, and letters). In 2005, studies show ted that 26% of girls between the ages of 15 and 17 were bloggers compared to 15 percent of boys the same age. (Mazzarella, Sharon R. Girl Wide Web. 2010. New York. Web.)
