Radio
Radio has been a means of transferring information to society since it was first created, but the 1930s was a golden age for the radio. As technology began to improve, radio began to unite families and communities. Entertainment started to be projected through the radio in the form of soap operas and other fiction programs. Girl culture began being portrayed in the context of the American family through radio programming. (http://www.pbs.org/opb/historydetectives/feature/radio-in-the-1930s/)
